Pâté au thon

written by Claire Grech April 17, 2018

Pâté au thon - A pâté is a paste-like texture traditionally made from meat which is then spread on slices of toasted bread or served as a dip with crudités, breadsticks, etc. In today's recipe, you will find a pâté made from fish instead of the more typical pâté which is usually made from ground meat.

Ingrédients

  • 300gr de thon
  • 1/2 tasse de crème fraîche
  • 2 c.à.s de persil
  • 2 c.à.s de ciboulette
  • le jus d'un citron
  • poivre
  • sel
  • 1/4 tasse d'huile d'olive
  • baguette

Ingredients

  • 300gr tuna
  • 1/2 cup crème fraîche
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • juice of one lemon
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • baguette

In a medium bowl, flake the tuna. Add the crème fraîche, olive oil, parsley, chives, lemon juice, pepper and salt to a taste. Mix until combined. Cover the bowl and let it chill in the refrigerator for a few hours. When ready to serve, toast your bread of choice and taste.

Isn't this pâté so easy to make for any occasion? I love it and prepare it quite often as it doesn't involve any cooking at all. Now, go ahead and continue practising last week's topic; le passé composé. If you missed last week's lesson, have a look at that first here.
