Hello everyone!! It's been a while since we had a grammar lesson so I thought it was time to tackle a new grammar point - Il futuro semplice. This tense corresponds to the Future tense in English. The best use for the futuro semplice is to refer to something that still has to happen.
Here are some examples that will show you the Futuro semplice in action:
- Lunedì prossimo, lui finirà l'università.
- Domenica prossimo, andremo al parco.
- Se voi mi aiutate con i lavori di casa, potremo uscire più presto.
The third example shows a conditional clause (an action taking place only under certain conditions).

Exceptions
- The verbs Essere and Avere are irregular.
Irregular forms:
- Some verbs loose the -e from the ending. Esempi: avere - avrò, dovere - dovrò, vedere - vedrò, potere - potrò, sapere - saprò, vivere - vivrò.
- Some verbs replace the -e with an -r. Esempi: rimanere - rimarrò, vedere - vedrò, tenere - terrò, volere - vorrò.
